Covergirl Review

Happy weekend everyone! Before I go into my Covergirl review, I wanted to talk a bit about Influenster!

As you all know having less than 10k followers makes it super tricky to secure collaborations with brands, especially a brand as big as Covergirl! Luckily, third-party platforms that connect influencers like me and you to brands in search of user-created content (UCC) are popping up everywhere! What I love about Influenster is that it matches you to products that you absolutely want to try and brands that you covet! The way Influenster selects bloggers for boxes is also relatively transparent. When you connect all your social media platforms, you get an impact number. That number + all the previous Voxboxes you have received determines whether you get another one!

How to increase your chances of getting a box? Obviously, upping your social media stats is a good rule of thumb. However, I also recommend filling out the surveys that appear on your profile and reviewing as many products as you possibly can! To be selected for another box, be sure to complete the badges! Often, to get a badge, you need to complete all the tasks assigned including posting on social media and writing reviews on websites for the product!

Now onto the fun part! What do I think of the Covergirl lippies I got?

I got two shades: Current Nude and Ballerina. Both come with an applicator, so it is super easy to apply the right amount on the lips. They also don't smudge! You can't tell the exact colors from the two photos, but Current Nude is a pinkish-brownish shade. Ballerina is a rich pink color. As a Chinese woman, it is tricky to find the right shade of nude. Current Nude matches my skin tone so well and adds some color to my complexion! Both shades are perfect for day-time and everyday!

You can find the Melting Pout Matte collection at your local drugstore! Let me know what you think and what colors you plan on getting!

Until next time,

xoxo Charm in the Mundane
