Shoot My Travel - A Collaboration
Hey everyone, this is Jen from Charm in the Mundane! As always, I love being a tourist in my own city, a.k.a the beautiful and picturesque Philadelphia! I could not pass up the offer when Statusphere, a network I partner with for all my gifted products, offered me the opportunity to work with the lovely female founded travel photography company, Shoot my Travel! Signing up + scheduling a shoot is so easy! Shoot My Travel is worldwide, so you can literally have a photographer at your fingertips anywhere you go!
There are so many talented photographers in Philadelphia! I got to work with a couple of them myself before I did this collaboration! I also always partner with other local bloggers for my shoots! I like to do my shoots early in the morning on a Friday, because I don’t have classes on Friday and early morning traffic is honestly pretty manageable. I chose to work with Traci who found the BEST spots in Philadelphia! She has a very airy, bright style which fits into my feed perfectly!
I am always looking for quick and easy shoots, so if you are like me, and you already have a couple of locations in mind, definitely choose the You & the City Package! It is an hour long, you can choose up to 15 high-res photos (believe me when they come out, you will have a hard time picking!) and photos are literally delivered within 48 hours! They will send you a follow-up link through your email so you can access the album. I literally got mine within a day! And no worries, if you can’t choose, you can always buy additional photos!
Traci and I met at 9:30 am. It is a 20 minute Lyft ride from University City to Race Street Pier, and my driver accidentally drove me to Camden, New Jersey! It is surprising how close Philadelphia is to New Jersey, since I am from Florida and it literally takes 7+ hours to finally get to another state! Traci and I met up at Race Street Pier where she helped me shoot a watch MVMT gifted me. You will definitely see it on my Instagram soon! We then walked to Elfreth’s Alley which is a beautiful scenic spot I went to freshman year with my college hall! Got a couple pictures there, then headed to a part of Old City my roommate and I went to last year! Took a photo in front of this cute little floral shop, then we finished at another street in Old City at Moko Beauty! Below is one of the photos! Do keep in mind I haven’t edited the rest!
Definitely book Shoot My Travel for your next shoot! Be a tourist in your own city and find all those little nooks and crannies! The best way to do it? Walk around the city because I guarantee you there are a lot of spots that even the biggest travel magazines can’t capture! <3
