Getting the Canon T6I is a blessing! It is perfect for taking the well-lit flatlay shot! Don't forget to use your surroundings to set up the shot! I took this on the bathroom counter of my sorority house and used the basket of flowers to create a nice contrast!

This is the third Voxbox I have received; the other two are Suave and a collection of everyday haircare and skincare brands. For those of you not familiar with Influenster, it is a service which sends free products to bloggers, or anyone with a strong social media presence really, in exchange for an honest review! As a college student, it is always great to get stuff for free! I really like how you can work with an assortment of indie brands and brand names in department stores! It is always fun to try new things out, and see how they fit in with your normal day-to-day routine! I highly recommend signing up!

For a drugstore mascara, it is probably one of the better ones you will find at your local CVS, Target or Ulta Beauty! Its general price point at $9.99 [which is the general range most mascaras are sold at] delivers a nice touch-up to your eyelashes. The brush is pretty versatile, and I didn't really need an eyelash curler to angle them upwards. The pigment is pretty rich, so you don't have to worry about the color fading throughout the day.

One big problem I have always had is having to deal with oily eyelids. Philadelphia is super dry here, Tampa is pretty much humid year-round which makes my eyes water. I don't often wear mascara and eyeliner since my oily skin does not mix well with my eye makeup. The X Fiber (L'Oreal) mascara sort of takes care of that problem: It is longer lasting than most brands I have used and the brush makes it easier to apply on my lashes. It also doesn't smudge onto my eyelids and stays in place.

All in all, I do recommend giving it a try!
